Dakin’s Wound Cleanser (Sodium Hypochlorite 0.0125% as solution preservative) uses the same formula and is the same strength as Di-Dak-Sol® (including the 2-year shelf life).

Offered as a Medical Device, Dakin’s Wound Cleanser is suitable for use of treating a wide variety of wounds but consult your doctor or pharmacist about your specific case or needs to choose the best version of Dakin’s suited for your injury or wound.

An independent third-party tested and found Dakin’s Wound Cleanser to be effective against variety of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, yeasts, molds, and resistant microorganisms. These resistant bacteria, including MRSA and VRE, were killed after 30 seconds of exposure.

Uses
For mechanical cleansing of dirt and debris from skin abrasions, cuts, and minor irritations.

 

Directions
Flush wound or affected area until clean. For wound management, use as an irrigant, cleanser for the wetting agent for a wet-to-moist dressing. Apply once daily for 5-10 minutes for a wound with light or moderate discharge. Apply twice daily for 10-15 minutes for a wound with heavy discharge.
